Things to Do

There are no shortages of things to do in the city that never sleeps. During your stay at Chelsea Home, you need only to step outside to find any number of places to visit and sites to see.

However, if you are looking for some suggestions, here are a few that are popular stopping spots for our guests in the area.

911 Memorial

Visit the site of the former World Trade Center and the memorial that has been built there in honor of the fateful attack that happened on September 11, 2001. Walk the grounds to see the names of those who died that day or pay the additional entrance fee to visit the museum there. Just across the street from the memorial, visitors can do some shopping or catch the subway at The Oculus.

Facebook New York City Offices

The Silicon Valley-based social media giant has been building its presence in New York City and has recently set up their entire News division here. Along with their office on Broadway, Facebook has recently purchased the historic Farley Building in midtown Manhattan to grow their team in the area. If you are recently graduated and seeking a job, this is a great place to look! Take a walking tour of the area near Greenwich Village and New York University and see the New York home of Facebook.

Madison Square Garden

Sports fans and concert-goers alike will most likely be familiar with Madison Square Garden - or The Garden as it is commonly called. The indoor arena is home to the New York Knicks basketball team and the New York Rangers hockey team. It's also the most frequented concert venue in Manhattan. To visit MSG, visitors can stop at the Penn Station stop along the Long Island Rail Road line. For more information about current events scheduled at Madison Square Garden, refer to their website.
